If you enjoy being around and helping others, then you may want to consider a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. The need for LPN’s are growing steadily as they assist registered nurses as well as physicians in the care of the sick and injured. College or internet LPN classes are available for you to take to get started on your future as an LPN. Entrance into any LPN program does require a high school diploma, or a GED, and the courses cover a broad range of skills including emergency room medicine, CPR and treatment for cardiac arrest.

LPN’s are also sometimes called “Licensed Vocational Nurses” so do not let this throw you off course when searching for the classes to best suit your needs. Many students are not able to attend class at school because they just don’t have the time, so online LPN programs are a great alternative. LVN online classes are similar and also available as well. Earning your Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or your BSN, will take dedication and determination, but obtaining your LPN to BSN online will put you on the path toward a rewarding career in the medical field.
