After You Negotiate Your Unsecured Debt

Once you have paid off all of your credit accounts there are certain moves you must make in order to start rebuilding your credit report. Just about all debt settlement firms or credit counseling companies do not take care of this on your behalf. The heartache of showing that your credit card debt has been paid down is on you. At this point, you can retain a company to do this for you, but a lot of people can achieve this themselves because it’s something relatively easy to do. Basically, you just have to call the credit recording bureaus and let them know of which bills have been paid down. At that point, they must update your credit history. They do require you to come upwith proof of your settled debt so ensure you can get your hands on something on paper when you have paid your bill in its entirety.
